Breeze Airways does not charge a traditional cancellation fee, 1_83 384518 58
but instead uses a flexible credit-based system that varies depending on your fare type and the timing of your cancellation. If you cancel a ticket within 24 hours of booking and your flight is at least seven days away, you’re eligible for a full refund to your original form of payment—this is a standard policy across U.S. airlines. After that initial grace period, Breeze allows you to cancel your flight up to 15 minutes before departure without charging a penalty, but instead of a cash refund, you’ll receive BreezePoints, which are travel credits valid for 24 months. The amount of BreezePoints you receive depends on the fare class you purchased. For example, if you booked a “Nice,” “Nicer,” or “Nicest” fare, you will typically receive 100% credit in BreezePoints if you cancel at least one hour before your scheduled departure. However, if you purchased a more restrictive “No Flex” fare, the amount of credit you get decreases significantly based on how close you are to the departure date 100% if canceled more than 60 days in advance, 50% if between 15 to 60 days, 25% if within 14 days, and no credit at all if canceled within an hour of departure. While Breeze doesn’t officially label this as a cancellation fee, the reduction in value acts as one. Additionally, if Breeze cancels your flight or causes a significant delay, you are entitled to a full refund or a no-cost rebooking regardless of fare type. Overall, Breeze offers a relatively flexible cancellation structure, especially if you cancel early, but travelers should be cautious when booking lower-tier fares, as late cancellations may result in a loss of most or all of the ticket value.
